Cat Rising from the Ashes?

We were told some time ago of a cat that used to adorn the building that once housed Phoenix Software on Tadcaster Road. Having investigated this, we found that new flats were to be built on the site, but found no sign of a cat.
We were contacted in May with confirmation that a cat used to live at that location. However, during a recent trip to York, we were unable to find anything. If anyone has any further information about this cat, please do get in touch.
